This article considers the main ideas of the leading representative of American political philosophy and ethics Alasdair MacIntyre regarding morality and obligation set out in his fundamental work "After virtue". In the never-ending discussion of moral problems and chaos in the value-normative sphere, MacIntyre suggests reconsidering the Aristotelean tradition of virtue with its teleological basis for morality and its central concepts of good, virtue, duty and purpose. Not being a supporter of abstract moral theorizing, MacIntyre insists on the primary connection between morality and practical rationality through moral arguments centered on the experience of social practices of the community in the search of the common good.

The object of the research is to study corporality in mass culture. As the subject of the study, the authors identify patterns of a disabled body in modern visual culture. The aim of the research was to classify patterns of disability in modern visual culture using methodological approaches in the study (M. Merlot-Ponty, I. S. Kon, I. Bykhovskaya, N. A. Bugueva).

The phenomenon of «clip-thinking» and its influence on the education process is described in the article. The problems of the classical model of education are shown. Methods of classical education are aimed at logical thinking, but peculiarities of perception of the modern generation have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the education process. The main ideas of the theory of memes and the practice of their use in modern politics are briefly described in the article.

The article is devoted to the presidential elections in the USA last year. The sociological analysis of the main results of these elections and those changes taking place in American electoral processes is carried out. Analyzing the results of these elections the author uses the net approach, the theory of the resource dependence and the conception of social classes. The conclusions about the beginning of washing out of stable political coalitions in the American political system and the formation of a new political situation in this country are drawn.

This paper covers the heuristic potential of social conflict analysis in the communicatory paradigm, which allows enriching of Russian conflictology with methods of modern linguistics.
