Abstract

The article addresses the problem of uncertainty in classical thermodynamics and mechanics. The relation of concepts of certainty and uncertainty is studied in detail, and they are considered opposites forming the basis of any system. In addition, a scientific retrospective of this problem is given. It is concluded that both in classical mechanics and thermodynamics the state of uncertainty can be interpreted as a leap in system behaviour, and by it we mean not mechanical motion as a type of physical motion of matter but the change of physical properties within the system quality, i.e. change of its quality. Thus the article confirms that a leap in system behaviour can be considered a transition to a different system quality.

Abstract

The concept of justice is one of central social philosophical categories as it allows to unite core foundations and regulatory requirements of social life into one concept. Studying the phenomenon of justice, the author turns to the Russian philosophical thought from the middle of the 19th century to the present day. It considers this concept in the context of the most urgent and controversial issues of Russian society in the given period of time. The analysis of the connection between justice as a phenomenon in the social interactions system and the development of the society as a whole is of particular interest. It is established that the understanding of justice in the Russian public conscience is not unconditional and absolute. It is always focused on specific events or phenomena in people's lives and depends on the nature of both individual and group or class interests, as well as on the extent of appropriation of wealth and spiritual values by the subjects of relations.

Abstract

The article considers the formation of the concept of scientific worldview and its characteristics. The principles and patterns of the development of science proposed by V. I. Vernadsky are analyzed. It is shown that his approach to this process can be a source of methodological reflection in the modern philosophy of science. Particular attention is given to the methodology of V. I. Vernadsky's views, particularly to the fact that science and philosophy should not contradict each other, and on the contrary, they should complement each other. The special status of scientific knowledge is emphasized, where, on the one hand, there exists a real need to cover all the variety of scientific concepts, facts, etc., and on the other hand, there is no such expert who, while being a scientist, would have an expert knowledge on these diverse subjects.

According to European Social Survey (ESS), life satisfaction level in Russia has been constantly increasing during the last decade, but it is still lower than the average European level. To understand the reasons of cross-national differences in life satisfaction, the article analyzes the impact of significant sociodemographic and psychological factors, and also external factors defining the situation and development of society and public institutions that can influence the perception of quality of life. The data shows that the structure of determinants of life satisfaction in Russia is very similar to other European countries. Physical and mental health and financial situation are the most significant factors, as well as the evaluation of general economic and political environment represented by national economy performance and government effectiveness. The impact of financial situation as one of key factors connected to life satisfaction level in Europe is significantly higher than in Russia and these differences have been stable for a number of years. In the middle of 2000s the attitudes to economic and political situation in the country influenced life satisfaction level much stronger than socio-structural factors and personal situation, but in this decade the importance of these factors has decreased and approached European average.

Abstract

The article analyzes the communicative problems associated with the active use of the Internet in modern society. The results of the study based on the ethnographic approach using the method of written interview are presented. Three main aspects of the problem being studied are identified: partial loss of effective communication skills, due to the fact that when communicating on the Internet, the interlocutors are less responsible for their actions, and the social needs of the person are not fully met; substitution of the concept of "friendship" in connection with the ritualization of a number of actions constituting friendly communication and relations; reduced ability to critical perception of information and analytical thinking in connection with the constant availability of information, the decline in the quality of training.
