Victor Tuzov, was born in 1950, graduated from Leningrad State University in 1978 with a degree in Philosophy. In 1979 he moved from Scientific-industrial organization
to ETU “LETI” to the position of the Head of the philosophy laboratory. In 1984 he defended his PhD thesis. He was admitted as a Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy. In 2000 he was enrolled at post-doctoral studies at LETI (Department of Philosophy) and upon graduation he defended his doctoral thesis. In 2001 he was hired as an Associate Professor. In 2004 he got a scientific degree of Doctor of Science. Since 2005 he has been working as a Professor at the Department of Philosophy.
During his tenure as a university lecturer he published more than forty educational and methodological works. These include plans for seminars in philosophy, methodological guidelines for the Philosophy course, chapters in educational and methodological collections, chapters in textbooks. More than ninety scientific works have been published, including two monographs, teaching aids.
Victor Tuzov’s research interests include the study of the laws of the historical process, dialectical and synergetic methodology, problems of personality psychology. Victor Tuzov is a member of the editorial board of the Discourse journal, a member of the Organizing Committee of the All-Russian scientific conference “Information-Communication-Society”, deputy head of the department for scientific work, head of the philosophy section at the department.
