EVGENY G. SOKOLOV

Doctor of Philosophy, Professor with the assigned duties of the Chair.

Evgeny Sokolov was born in 1961 in Leningrad. Graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Leningrad State University named after A.A. Zhdanov with a degree in Philosophy (1987), postgraduate (PhD) studies at the Department of History and Philosophy of Religion, Faculty of Philosophy, St. Petersburg State University (1992).

PhD thesis “The phenomenon of scientific atheism” (1993).

Labor activity:

1987–1992 - Lecturer of the Department of Philosophy and Scientific Communism of the Leningrad State Institute of Soviet Trade named after V.I. F. Engels (now St. Petersburg University of Trade and Economics).

1992–1996 - Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor of the Department of Russian and Foreign Culture, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
