Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Leading Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Professor of the Department of Law and Philosophy, Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (NSPU); Professor of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Novosibirsk Military Institute of National Guard Troops.
Anna A. Izgarskaya was born in 1970 in a small Siberian village of Novosibirsk Region. In 1993 she graduated from the History Department of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical Institute (current name – Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University). A.A. Izgarskaya has pedagogical experience as a teacher of history and social studies, as well as a director of a comprehensive secondary school.
In 1999 she defended her thesis «Socio-philosophical reconstruction of the development of geopolitical concepts» for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences (Ph.D.) at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the SB RAS (Novosibirsk). In 2015 she defended her thesis «The space of social relations in geopolitical and world-system dimensions» for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) in specialty 09.00.11 – «Social Philosophy». After defending her Ph.D. thesis, she worked for a long time at the Department of Philosophy of NSPU and the Faculty of Philosophy of Novosibirsk State University (NSU). A.A. Izgarskaya has significant experience in teaching philosophy, history and philosophy of science, philosophy of history, political science, philosophy of culture, aesthetics.
Scientific interests of A.A. Izgarskaya lie in the field of methodology of science, social dynamics of modern societies and philosophy of education. She is the author of 88 scientific works and 5 textbooks. Most of her work has been devoted to a critical analysis of the geopolitical dynamics of Russia in the world-system, as well as the transformation of its social sphere, especially the education system.
A.A. Izgarskaya was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region (2010), a Certificate of Merit by the Novosibirsk City Administration (2016) and a Certificate of Merit by the Main Education Department of the Novosibirsk City Administration (2015).
