Pavel P. Deryugin

Born on July 13, 1954.

Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Applied and Sectoral Sociology of St. Petersburg State University. Head of the City Sociological Seminar of St. Scientific Director of the Student Laboratory for Applied Sociological Research, Social Diagnostics and Expertise. Author of 144 scientific publications, supervisor of a number of grants.

Graduated from the Kaliningrad Higher Naval School (1976) and the Military-Political Academy (1986).

Since 1971 he has been serving in the units of the Navy: since 1991 has been working as a  teacher of the Department of Social Sciences of the Naval Academy, Deputy Head of the Department:

 since 2001 - Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Marketing of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Technology (Technical University),

since 2003 Head of the Department of Personnel Management and Advertising: since 2010, Professor of the Department of Applied and Sectoral Sociology, St. Petersburg State University.

Research interests: Theoretical and applied problems of social diagnostics, Social diagnostics in the management of organizations, Social diagnostics of interpersonal relations of personnel of organizations, Social diagnostics of advertising efficiency, Innovative approaches in training, Sociological diagnostics of corporate and entrepreneurial organizations, Diagnostics of organizational culture, A network approach to the analysis of values, Comparative analysis of the activities of business organizations in Russia and China.

Courses taught: Sociology (for bachelors); Sociologist in an organization (for undergraduates and bachelors); Sociology of Organizations (for undergraduates and bachelors); Sociological research of organizational culture (for undergraduates); Diagnostics of social networks of the organization (for undergraduates).

Participant of a number of Russian-Chinese conferences. Trained at the Confucius University of the People's Republic of China, organizer of research on the activities of the People's University of China in the awareness and scientific support of the modernization of Chinese society.

He has experience in scientific leadership and consulting for bachelors, undergraduates, graduate students.

He has acknowledgments of VTsIOM for expert work and training of students-winners of all-Russian competitions VTsIOM.
